My favorite time of year is back again! Fall and Halloween!! I have began making my fall creations including new Trick-or-treat bags, and I even made a new reversible quilted table runner…one side is Halloween and the other side is fall pumpkins!
September has been a pretty busy month for me…I have participated in two craft fairs/farmers market this month. One of the markets was behind the apartment buildings we previously lived in. The Markets were a lot of fun, and I hope I’ll be able to participate in some Christmas shows.
I have made several other bags the past two months, some examples are below! I have also finally updated my etsy site with several new listings!
Fall is coming up which means farmers markets, apple cider, leaves changing colors, and new creations. Although, I have been sewing new bags and pouches to prepare for another craft show coming up in October, I have made a few things for myself including the fox drawstring bag and the Fox/Colorado Mountain pillow. I was inspired by seeing a similar pillow in a local business, where the Colorado Mountains; made of felt were sewn onto the pillow.
More creations I have made the past couple months were more zippered pouches, fall market bags, crossbody bags, and cosmetic bag. Of course, the majority of the patterns included skulls!
And of course on the weekends we are still taking advantage of the Colorado Mountains, and continue to go hiking, and even backpacked up to a Ice Lake to go camping on Labor Day Weekend. The mountains and waterfalls have been beautiful. Since fall is coming up, the leaves are beginning to change. We hope to find some more colored leaves this weekend.
I hope everyone was treated well by their sweet hearts this Valentine’s Day! I had a lovely weekend with my boyfriend and friends skiing in Wintergreen, Virginia and visiting a few breweries.
While I have been busy this winter with work and skiing, I am still keeping busy with my sewing. I have now began making zippered pouches that I plan to sell at future craft shows in the springtime. These pouches can be used as anything from coin purses to small make-up bags. 🙂
This month and last month, I also made some new adorable handbags that I are being sold at 3 Little Black Birds. Recently, I have made a couple sugar skull handbags that have been popular at the store, so I thought the pattern with the skulls and thorn red roses would look really neat as a tote bag and would be a good sell at the store. I also made a colorful cute owl shoulder bag that would be perfect as a school bag!
Currently, it is snowing and will be for the rest of the evening. I will soon be focusing on springtime bags and beach bags to keep my mind off the cold and the rest of the winter.
