My favorite time of year is back again! Fall and Halloween!! I have began making my fall creations including new Trick-or-treat bags, and I even made a new reversible quilted table runner…one side is Halloween and the other side is fall pumpkins!
September has been a pretty busy month for me…I have participated in two craft fairs/farmers market this month. One of the markets was behind the apartment buildings we previously lived in. The Markets were a lot of fun, and I hope I’ll be able to participate in some Christmas shows.
I have made several other bags the past two months, some examples are below! I have also finally updated my etsy site with several new listings!
Fall is coming up which means farmers markets, apple cider, leaves changing colors, and new creations. Although, I have been sewing new bags and pouches to prepare for another craft show coming up in October, I have made a few things for myself including the fox drawstring bag and the Fox/Colorado Mountain pillow. I was inspired by seeing a similar pillow in a local business, where the Colorado Mountains; made of felt were sewn onto the pillow.
More creations I have made the past couple months were more zippered pouches, fall market bags, crossbody bags, and cosmetic bag. Of course, the majority of the patterns included skulls!
And of course on the weekends we are still taking advantage of the Colorado Mountains, and continue to go hiking, and even backpacked up to a Ice Lake to go camping on Labor Day Weekend. The mountains and waterfalls have been beautiful. Since fall is coming up, the leaves are beginning to change. We hope to find some more colored leaves this weekend.
This past weekend daylight savings began and temps have been in the 60’s to low 70’s…I can say that winter is finally fizzling out! I am continuing to make more creations for the store and for an upcoming craft show in May.
A couple weeks ago I have made several reversible scarves for dogs that are currently selling at “3 Little Black Birds.” In case you haven’t noticed already that I am an animal lover and an owner to one beagle/weiner mix. I love dolling her up in pretty scarves, and I love making dog scarves for other people’s dogs. I make the doggie scarves in all sizes, colors, and patterns.
I am also beginning to make springtime bags. I have noticed foxes are a trend right now, therefore I made a large fabulous tote bag with a fox pattern. This bag is perfect for school books or as a beach bag!
I am also continuing making new zippered pouches that I plan on selling at upcoming craft shows. These will be perfect as wallets or even make-up bags! The next few weeks I will be making more spring/summer bags and many other accessories. The Blu Js’ have also been busy preparing for the craft show in May. Details coming soon!
