Labor Day Camping

It is hard to believe that summer is almost over!  But that only means ahead of us is cooler weather, fall leaves, and pumpkin spice!  We decided to spend another holiday weekend up in the mountains camping.  But not backpacking, car camping!

We went up to Jones Pass, which is about an hour away from Denver.  It had beautiful views.  Hot in the sun, but chilly at night!

It was so clear at night, I have never seen so many stars in the sky!  Unfortunately, there was a fire ban, so that meant we couldn’t toast any s’mores.  But the fire bans make sense.  Holiday weekends including Labor Day are popular times to camp, which means more people in the mountains, meaning more forest fire risks.

We also did a mini hike and off roading.  I shot some beautiful mountain photos near the Continental Divide!

And Lilly Dog had a great time!
