New Baby Quilt

Happy Spring!! I cannot believe it is almost April! Before I share my newly made quilt, I wanted to share an article that features me! I interviewed for “Shoutout Colorado” which is a Magazine that interviews local businesses and artists in Colorado, so check out my interview in the link below!

Now I am ready to share my newly made baby quilt! However, it is not for me. It is for my friends Tanya and Aaron Roach who are expecting their first baby in May. I finished the quilt in February, and it was given to them at their baby shower which took place a few weeks ago.

They are expecting a baby girl, but the nursery is painted with neutral colors, so I wanted the quilt to match the nursery color theme that includes yellow, gray, baby blue, and mint green.

Before they moved to Colorado, Tanya and Aaron traveled and lived in other countries including China and Australia, so I also included pandas, koalas, and wilderness theme patches.

I mostly used scraps of fabrics I already had, but I had to buy a few more fat quarters since I did not have enough fabrics that matched the color theme.

I really love how this quilt turned out, and I am so glad my friends love it as well. This quilt will help keep the baby cozy and warm!
