Happy first day of spring!! I am posting this entry from Aspen, Colorado enjoying a ski weekend. It has been pretty mild here but suppose to snow this evening. Last weekend, the Denver metro area received about 2 feet of snow. One of the biggest snow storms Denver received in years.

A Couple weeks ago, I finished another quilt! This quilt is a little smaller, and I made it a dog themed quilt! I used several scraps of dog fabric I already had, and made a patchwork quilt with straight line stitching on top.

I even used leftover fabric scraps of Lilly dog that I designed. This fabric pattern is still available on Spoonflower: https://www.spoonflower.com/profiles/juliescreations

I believe I am getting better at quilting but I still have some practicing to do. I definitely learned new skills and several techniques that I was not aware of when I first started quilting, such as basting, specific footers to use for the machine, and the proper ways to bind a quilt.
I am very proud of this quilt, and I am currently working on another one so I definitely hope that will come out even better!

Lilly and her buddy coffee dog enjoyed laying on the quilt! 🙂
