So, this past week me, Walter, and a couple other friends took a fabulous trip to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was a relaxing but an adventurous trip through the botanic gardens and hanging out at the beach. We stayed in Puerto Vallarta and explored other towns and resorts including Sayulita and Yelapa.
I couldn’t take enough pictures of the sunsets, and of course, I took along my Sugar Skull carry-on bag!

like I previously mentioned, it was a relaxing and adventurous trip combined. Our adventures included exploring the botanic gardens, boat trips, snorkeling, touring a Tequila factory, and just walking through the towns.

Our relaxing part of the trip included going to the beach, eating fish tacos, and going to fancy restaurants. The beach by our hotel was so calm and quiet.

The best part of the trip was seeing all the art and culture. I loved looking at all the murals and art in Mexico. There were obviously several sugar skulls, and art inspired by Frida Kahlo. Everything was so unique, and I definitely gained some inspiration. I definitely enjoyed going into the boutiques to see all of the local art, and of course I took back some souvenirs!

Mexico also had some unique flowers and plants. Botanic gardens had some beautiful flowers that will make for awesome fabric designs!!

Hello! My name is Julie, I am very crafty and I love to quilt! I currently live in Denver, Colorado, but I was born and grew up in Virginia. My sewing journey began in 2009 where I started making handbags and I have participated in several craft shows/markets in Virginia and Colorado.
I began quilting in 2020, and since then quilting has been my main focus. I have made several quilts from modern, improve, lap quilts to mini quilts. In 2023 I became a member of the Denver Metro Quilt Guild. Besides sewing, in my spare time I love to weave, take photos, bake, hike, ski, attend craft/art shows, and spend time with my husband and my dog Lilly. My blog mostly focuses on my creations and inspirations, but once and awhile, I will blog about my trips and travel adventures. My goal is to share and inspire everyone who is reading. Enjoy!
