Happy October!! Back in July, I decided to rearrange my sew/crafting room. Previously, my craft room was a bit cramped and my sewing table was too small, so I upgraded to a fancier sewing table and I absolutely love it!
The table includes more drawers and storage space, and the table also extends for my larger sewing projects. The sewing table also came with a separate mini table called a “kiwi” which I use to cut and iron fabric, and to store my thread.
The first sewing project made on this table was a t-shirt quilt for my friend Chris.
This quilt is full of old band t-shirts that could not just be thrown away! I also included a mixture of cotton fabrics for the borders and for the back of the quilt.
Hello! My name is Julie, I am very crafty and I love to quilt! I currently live in Denver, Colorado, but I was born and grew up in Virginia. My sewing journey began in 2009 where I started making handbags and I have participated in several craft shows/markets in Virginia and Colorado.
I began quilting in 2020, and since then quilting has been my main focus. I have made several quilts from modern, improve, lap quilts to mini quilts. In 2023 I became a member of the Denver Metro Quilt Guild. Besides sewing, in my spare time I love to weave, take photos, bake, hike, ski, attend craft/art shows, and spend time with my husband and my dog Lilly. My blog mostly focuses on my creations and inspirations, but once and awhile, I will blog about my trips and travel adventures. My goal is to share and inspire everyone who is reading. Enjoy!
