Our Wedding – 07.08.21

What a summer it has been! I have been a little quiet on here for the past couple months, but for a good reason, and that is because Walter and I got married last month!! Therefore, I was very busy planning the wedding, and spending time with friends and family.

I have to say it was a very nerve wracking time beforehand…I was stressing over things I could not control such as the weather, if the food was going to be good, and if all of the guests would get along. And to be honest, everything was PERFECT!! The weather was great, my family was able to travel from the east coast, the food/cupcakes were delicious, and it was just a good time!

It was a small (due to not knowing the outcomes of COVID) but it was the perfect intimate wedding at a beautiful/rustic venue, “Boettcher Mansion” which is located in Golden, Colorado.

I am still swooning over my wedding gown, which was bought from “The Bridal Collection” located in Centennial, Colorado. It fit absolutely perfect!

I could not get enough of the views at the overlook where some of our photos took place, and I am so glad the air was clear.

I also wanted to share a few of my DIY that I included in the wedding. The DIY also saved me a good amount of money…for example, I did not have to hire a florist! I bought all of the flowers from Michaels, and made my own bridal and bridesmaids bouquets!

I also made my own centerpieces, they were so easy! I used recycled mason jars and filled them with extra flowers and fairy string lights (of course I saved one centerpiece for my home décor). I also made the wedding favors, which were quilted coasters and attached a tea bag to each coaster.

I used a wooden box that I already had and used it as a card box, all I had to do was add some sage green lace. And my matron of honor made a pallet for our pictures – it turned out fantastic! The gifts I gave for my bridesmaids and all who helped out with the wedding were these cute zippered pouches which I made. I loved how they turned out!

Of course, I supported other handmade businesses. I bought several other wedding props from Etsy! That includes the boutonnieres, my hair piece, fox cake toppers, my lacey converse shoes, and even our wedding rings!

Our wedding photos also came out perfect, and I give huge credit to Jennifer Garza Photography and Bellagala. I wish I could share all of the photos!

I also would like to give credit to our other vendors that made our special day extra special and less stressful, including Rocky Mountain Catering, Gold Mine Cupcakes, and Quality Mobile Sound.
