This blog post is going to be short and sweet. For awhile, I have been thinking about sewing a quilt patch on a denim jacket…I was seeing them everywhere on social media! So last October, I found a decent quality denim jacket at a local thrift store. I made a Sawtooth quilt patch and sewed it on the back of the jacket. It was super easy!
I love how the patch turned out, and I love the color collaboration I used.
I showed off the jacket a few times this fall, and I plan to show it off more in the future but of course when the weather is warmer again. With making this and the quilted vest earlier this year, I definitely can see myself getting hooked onto making more quilt garments in the future. 🙂
Hello! My name is Julie, I am very crafty and I love to quilt! I currently live in Denver, Colorado, but I was born and grew up in Virginia. My sewing journey began in 2009 where I started making handbags and I have participated in several craft shows/markets in Virginia and Colorado.
I began quilting in 2020, and since then quilting has been my main focus. I have made several quilts from modern, improve, lap quilts to mini quilts. In 2023 I became a member of the Denver Metro Quilt Guild. Besides sewing, in my spare time I love to weave, take photos, bake, hike, ski, attend craft/art shows, and spend time with my husband and my dog Lilly. My blog mostly focuses on my creations and inspirations, but once and awhile, I will blog about my trips and travel adventures. My goal is to share and inspire everyone who is reading. Enjoy!
