Mexico City Trip

In honor of Dia De Los Muertos in a couple days, I wanted to share a few highlights from our Trip to Mexico City we took in September with a few friends. Mexico City is an exciting City with so much going on. We saw so much culture, attractions, and ate a lot of delicious food, including a few street Taco vendors.

We only were in Mexico from Thursday to Sunday, but we saw so much, and I feel like we didn’t see everything in the short amount of time we were there. We visited several churches, castles, and museums including museum nacional de historia and museo y zona arqueológica de templo mayor. We didn’t get a chance to visit the bigger pyramids out side of the city, so I hope to see those someday.

We also visited the Chapultepec Castle and saw some amazing views of the City walking up to it.

My favorite part of the trip was visiting Frida Kahlo’s house which has been turned into a museum. That neighborhood itself was super cute, and included some art markets and coffee shops.

We ended our trip by taking a 2 hour boat ride in the canal. It was super fun but unseasonably chilly. We mostly saw other party boats, but were also able to eat and drink on the boat.

I highly recommend for everyone to visit Mexico City. There is so much history and culture. I loved all the Day of the Dead Decor around the City. I was also surprised to see so much plant life in the middle of the City…it was so green! It was also super fun to eat at the local restaurants and bars. I can’t wait to visit other parts of Mexico.
