A couple weeks ago, we joined our friends and traveled to Canada! We went to Nova Scotia and stayed from May 23rd to the 27th. We connected in Toronto, then flew and landed in Halifax. We stayed in a little Airbnb in the town of Halifax for two nights. On the first full day, we explored the town and checked out a few pubs, coffee shop, the waterfront area with some restaurants and little shops, and even a cute little fabric shop.

That same day we explored “The Bay of Fundy” at Burntcoat Head Park and checked out the cliffs and colorful rocks. It was incredible, and highly recommend to check out during low tide.

We also explored Peggy’s Cove where a beautiful lighthouse is located, and I got so many photos of the beautiful coast and sunset.

The next day, we left Halifax and drove to our next Airbnb in the Town of Yarmouth. On our way there, we stopped at Cape Split Provincial Park and did a hike to the top of the cliffs and Bay area. There were a lot of beautiful views.

We eventually arrived in Yarmouth to our Airbnb, which was located right by the water. Apparently, this Airbnb was one of the highest rated. It was an awesome stay.

The next day, we explored a bit in Yarmouth. We were there when it was still off season, so unfortunately not much was open. However, we spotted an antique shop and I was excited to spot some crafty objects including some vintage quilts!

The rest of the day was mostly chill and relaxing, and later on we did some walking around our Airbnb and met some of the local horses.

The last day in Canada, we decided to stop in another town called Lunenburg before we headed to the airport. We weren’t able to stay too long, but from what we saw it appeared to be a little cute town with some cute shops and art galleries. I wish we were able to spend more time there and check out more of the waterfront.

Before our trip, I was a little concerned about what the weather was going to be like in the middle of May, but overall the weather was not too bad! There were some peaks of sunshine with a little bit of cloud and drizzle, but the temperature was comfortable as long as you had a warm enough jacket.
And the food was absolutely delicious! Soooo much seafood, including lobster and oysters.

Nova Scotia is a gorgeous destination in Canada, and I really enjoyed our visit and wish we had more time there. I can tell there is a lot of culture in Nova Scotia, and could sense that there are a lot of artistic people and quilters. I have not spent too much time in Canada, but I plan on going back to explore more of the cities and coasts.
