Holiday Creations

Here are the last creations of 2023! The first is a Christmas Tree mini quilt, and I started this quilt in September, since it took longer to make. I made this by English Paper Piecing so it was all hand sewn. Lastly, I did some “stitch in the ditch” and added a Christmas binding. I created the pattern myself, and it is currently hanging in my sewing/guest room.

This was not too difficult to make just a little more time consuming. I really loved how it turned out, especially when it was mostly hand sewn. It was kind of like putting a puzzle together.

I also made a few zipper pouches. The first two, are boxy zipper pouches. I looked up a few tutorials on how to make these, and for the first box pouches I made, these turned out pretty well. However, I only made the box pouches that have raw edges on the inside. It was a little complicated to cover up the edges, so I eventually want to make the pouches without the raw edges. I have kept these two box pouches for myself to carry my camera.

Last but not least, this little cosmetic pouch below is available on my Etsy page!

Seasons Greetings and a Happy New Year!
