Airport Quilt Exhibit and CA Trip

In a previous entry, I mentioned that I became a member of the Denver Metro Modern Quilt Guild. Well, the Denver guild along with other local quilt guilds and organizations, are participating in a quilt exhibit at the Denver International Airport, where several of our quilts are being displayed. I submitted my Colorado Flag patchwork mini quilt that I made a few years ago, and it is currently on display at the airport!

The exhibit includes a display of several quilts located along the bridge prior to security/concourse A, and at the top level of concourse C. My quilt is located at the bridge. I was very excited to see my quilt and all the other quilts when I was at the airport a couple weeks ago. If you are traveling through Denver Airport between now and February, I highly recommend you look at all the quilts…they are amazing!

The reason I was at the airport, because Walter and I took a trip to visit his dad in California. We passed through Napa, and stayed in Sanoma to visit a few Vineyards. Wine Country was beautiful!

It was raining off and on, but overall the weather wasn’t too bad. The temperatures stayed fairly descent. We also drove along the coast into Stinson Beach, ate some delicious oysters, and visited Muir Woods National Monument.

California is a beautiful place, and I absolutely love visiting!
