It’s Thanksgiving! And we are suppose to get snow later tonight! I have not posted in awhile, due to having a busy fall and making several projects. The most recent project I finished was this fabulous new quilt!
I guess you can say that I like this sawtooth star block since I have made it on several of my previous quilts.
Some of these fabrics are new, but most of them are fabric scraps. I also used some of Walter and I’s old button down shirts. I think all the fabrics collaborate together very well.
Even the back of the quilt also turned out well, and I thought it would be funny to add a Star Wars fabric at the bottom corner.
I used “the Quilt as you go” method, where you quilt each block separately and attach them together later on. This method is still a challenge for me, but overall this quilt turned out great, and I think it’s my best quilt yet! It is a lap sized quilt, and it is currently in our living room folded along with our other quilts. š
Hello! My name is Julie, I am very crafty and I love to quilt! I currently live in Denver, Colorado, but I was born and grew up in Virginia. My sewing journey began in 2009 where I started making handbags and I have participated in several craft shows/markets in Virginia and Colorado.
I began quilting in 2020, and since then quilting has been my main focus. I have made several quilts from modern, improve, lap quilts to mini quilts. In 2023 I became a member of the Denver Metro Quilt Guild. Besides sewing, in my spare time I love to weave, take photos, bake, hike, ski, attend craft/art shows, and spend time with my husband and my dog Lilly. My blog mostly focuses on my creations and inspirations, but once and awhile, I will blog about my trips and travel adventures. My goal is to share and inspire everyone who is reading. Enjoy!
