Quilting Update

Happy Fall! I realized it has been several months since my last blog post. I decided to slow down on quilting so I took a breather from posting. This past summer, I wanted to focus more on my mental health, since I have been struggling with it for quite some time. I spent more time outdoors including biking, hiking, and kayaking. I also wanted to spend more time with family and friends. Of course, quilting helps with my mental health and I still have been sewing and quilting but just at a slower pace. I feel like I have been rushing to finish my quilts, and I have realized rushing and not taking my time has caused more stress on myself to finish a quilt in a timely manner. My goal has been to relax more while quilting and not do so much in one day. I did complete a few quilts this year so far, which I have shared below. Some of these were completed for a few challenges/activities I participated in with the Denver Modern Quilt Guild.

Quilt I made for the Mini Quilt swap the Quilt Guild participated in with other multiple Quilt Guilds Including Orlando and Chicago Guilds
Scrappy Shirt Quilt. I used husband’s and my old T-shirts and dress shirts to make an improve quilt and finished with hand quilting.
Mini Quilt wall hanging for nursey decor for my friend who is expecting. The strawberry Foundation Paper Piecing pattern: https://www.etsy.com/shop/TsunamiRose

There are currently a few quilts in progress, which I will share once they are finished 🙂
