New Quilt/Fall Photoshoot

Happy Fall!! It is still unseasonably warm here in Denver, but it’s nice to get a break from the heat and go up in the mountains.

Last month, I finished a new quilt. It is another perfect patchwork colorful lap sized quilt. I decided to try the “Economy Quilt Block” which I never did before.

I drew out a pattern I wanted to complete, and each block is about 16×16 inches.

A few weeks ago, we decided to drive up to Leadville, CO to see the peak fall leaves and aspens. We hiked a beautiful trail near Twin Lakes, and I decided to bring my quilt along to do a photoshoot with the fall leaves in the background.

I really love how the photos turned out. We took photos of the quilt along with the aspens, a small lake, and on a small bridge on the trail. Of course, Lilly dog wanted to participate in the shoot.

The leaves were absolutely gorgeous on this trail, and it was really fun to take photos of my quilt with Colorado in the background. I probably say this frequently, but I never get tired of the fall season in the Colorado Mountains.
